How does the Membership work?

Each month is divided into 4 weekly modules to let your creativity bloom!

Week 1

Flower-of-the-month Tutorial

Every first day of the month a new tutorial will launch in which I will provide a step-by-step demonstration on how to create the flower of the month and show you how to create a composition. At the end of the demonstration you will have a finished artwork to show to the world.

Week 2

Inspiration Push

To make sure you stay motivated and inspired, I will send you an inspiration push in week 2 with something to keep you going: an ink hack/tip, color palette inspiration, motivational talk, or a product review.

Week 3

Creative Challenge

Halfway through the month I will provide you with a creative challenge to get you out of your comfort zone and try something new. For example: creating mesmerizing backgrounds for your flowers, experimenting with mixed media flowers, or trying new tools and surfaces (e.g., canvas).

Get individualized feedback & guidance. I will answer all your questions about the tutorials and provide you with feedback on your work based on the monthly tutorials.

Anne is a great teacher who truly teaches you each step to create alcohol ink flowers. Her courses aren’t just watching her create. Before each course, she shows you how to create the petals so you can practice before diving into creating the various flowers. Her English is impeccable—you’d never know it wasn’t her native language. If you truly want to learn the process of creating beautiful alcohol ink flowers, I highly recommend joining her Floral Membership.

I would watch reels on Instagram thinking Anne's artwork was beautiful and that it would be so hard to recreate. However after starting with the floral membership I have found Anne to be a great instructor and am making artwork I didn't think I could do. She has broken down the steps, explained clearly not only how to make the flowers but also what you could be doing wrong if it's not working. If I've had any questions she is also very quick to respond which I really appreciate. I love listening to her thought process when she's creating a composition as well and have learned tips on how to create artwork in general to draw the viewer in. I could keep going on about all the things I've enjoyed about Anne's floral membership program. I am so glad I decided to just give it a go. Thank you Anne for always looking for different ways to inspire. I am looking forward to next months flower as always.

I am allready used to do some very abstract colorful works with alcohol inks, but wanted to improve myself. Creating flowers on the one hand and (which to me was the main reason for joining) learning more about composition and how to do motives on backgrounds with alcohol inks.. In this courses I have both, plus feedback to my work. What else should I need? Anne’s tutorials are so detailed, well explained and help me very much, not only for the alcohol inks, but also for other techniques I am working with. Her way of explaining is very, very encouraging, so is her critics on my work. I so so so much can recommend this artclub and even, if I am a bit behind at the moment (lack of time) it is good to know, that I could work in my „speed“ as I have the possibility to watch and practice, when I have time and passion to do. So, all in all a clear thumbs up for the alcoholinkartclub.

I am really enjoying the classes that Anne Roos is teaching ! She is so generous with her time and all her explanations. She gives us more than one way to create the flowers of the month. She gives us lots of information and instructions and assignments to keep us practicing all through the month. But it’s as much or as little as we choose. We can still learn a lot from her classes without hours and hours of investment. She makes sure we have success and can create beautiful flowers in each class. She has a great personality to lead her students forward in skills and challenges! I’m glad I’m a member and I will also purchase her roses workshop some day soon!!

About me

Alcohol Ink Artist Anne Roos Smink

Hi there! I am Anne Roos, an alcohol ink artist living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. My own alcohol ink art journey began back in 2018, and I have been addicted since. I have helped over 2000 creatives from all over the world in improving their alcohol ink art skills. I know how frustrating the process can be in the beginning, so please know: Good things take time! I am here to guide you through this process and give you step-by-step demonstrations and a wealth of advice that will help you improve your techniques and get control over those inks. I get so much positive energy from making my inks flow around on paper and I hope I can bring some of that positive energy to you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Membership content

  • Who is this Membership for?

All content in the Membership is created with beginners as well as more advanced alcohol ink creatives in mind and is open to anyone who likes to get creative with their alcohol inks, improve their skills and receive support and guidance in a creative community. Because new content will launch every month, the Membership is here to keep you inspired and creatively challenged over time! Anyone from anywhere with a WiFi connection can join!

  • Is this Membership suitable for beginners?

Yes, all tutorials are suitable for beginners. All flowers are explained in a step-by-step approach to help you create a finished artwork at the end of the tutorial. Of course, working with inks may come more naturally to people who have been working with alcohol inks for a longer time, but by following the monthly tutorials you will learn to improve your control over the inks and make progress over time.

  • What if I am completely new to alcohol ink art?

The Membership contains a complete tool list to help you get started, and tutorials are suitable for beginners. However, the Membership is NOT an introduction into alcohol ink art. If you are completely new and want to know the ins and outs about alcohol ink art, I advise to follow my ‘Introduction into Alcohol Ink Art’ course when starting the Membership, which will teach you everything you need to know to get started. Good news: As a member you will receive 20% off my other courses.

  • Which tools do I need?

The basic tools needed for the flower-of-the-month tutorials are: alcohol inks, isopropyl 91%/99%, a needle bottle or pipettes, an ink/air blower, synthetic paper or ceramic tile, paper towel and a brush. A heat tool is optional in this Membership and is only used to speed up the drying process. For some of the creative challenges, we may use additional tools (e.g., acrylic inks, a plastic palette knife, black surface), but I will always announce that for the upcoming month. A complete tool list (including special coupon codes) will be provided within the membership.

  • What happens after I join?

You will right away get access to all content in the membership so far. New content will drop based on a weekly schedule. You will receive an email each week with a link to the newest tutorials or content.

  • How is the content delivered?

The membership content will be posted within my online membership platform (hosted via Thinkific). Content will drip on a weekly basis, and you will receive a weekly email to announce any new content in the Membership. The flower-of-the month tutorial will launch every 1st day of the month, and the other weekly content will follow each Monday. Within the Membership website you can see which content is launching when. Moreover, you can rewatch tutorials and challenges from previous months as much as you like.

  • Are the tutorials self-paced or live?

The tutorials are pre-recorded video you can watch in your own time. This means you can go at your own pace, pause the video, and continue whenever you want. Any content in the Membership can be revisited and rewatched for as long as you’re a member (also from previous months).

  • Can I get feedback on my work and/or ask questions?

Yes! There are 2 options for feedback/questions. First, for each video, there's a discussion board where you can post questions and see other people's questions. In week 4, I will summarize all questions regarding the content of that month in a Q&A format. Second, I provide the option to get personal feedback when you upload your work based on the monthly tutorial or creative challenge. This will always happen in a friendly and constructive way, for those that want to further improve their skills. This is however totally optional. I also encourage sharing your work in the creative community, because nothing works better than the support of fellow creatives within the Membership!

Membership access and fee

  • How long do I have access to the Membership?

In the monthly Membership you will have unlimited access to all content in the Membership for as long as you like! In case you leave the Membership, access to the content in the Membership will expire upon your next billing date.

  • What if I want to stop the Membership?

If you choose for the monthly Membership payment plan, you can stop the Membership at any time. You can easily cancel the membership yourself via your dashboard in the learning platform. Access to the content will remain available until the next billing date.

  • Can I stop and rejoin the Membership?

Of course! In case you stop the Membership, you can rejoin whenever registration to the membership is open. I understand life gets busy sometimes and there may be periods in which you are not able to devote your creative time to participate in the Membership.

  • When will I be charged for the monthly Membership?

You will be charged the day of purchasing the Membership, and every month after you will be charged on the same date. For example, if you purchase the Membership at Jan 1st, you would be charged Feb 1st, March 1st, etc.

  • Will the monthly payment fee ever increase?

The price you pay when you join is the price you will pay for the duration of your membership. However, if you decide to stop the membership and re-join, you will be charged the price that is charged at that moment.
