Here's what others have to say!

Kim Nguyen:

"I would watch reels on Instagram thinking Anne's artwork was beautiful and that it would be so hard to recreate.

However after starting with the floral membership* I have found Anne to be a great instructor and am making artwork I didn't think I could do. She has broken down the steps, explained clearly not only how to make the flowers but also what you could be doing wrong if it's not working. If I've had any questions she is also very quick to respond which I really appreciate.

I love listening to her thought process when she's creating a composition as well and have learned tips on how to create artwork in general to draw the viewer in.

I could keep going on about all the things I've enjoyed about Anne's floral membership program. I am so glad I decided to just give it a go. Thank you Anne for always looking for different ways to inspire. I am looking forward to next months flower as always. "

If you’re new to alcohol ink or wanting to learn new techniques. You will love Anne Roos Art. Anne is an extremely gifted artist but more importantly a gifted instructor!! Being brand new to alcohol ink as well to painting - I was super intimidated until I found Anne’s tutorials and alcohol ink club. Her detailed step by step guidance and opportunity to submit for feedback I was quickly gaining my confidence in art and a relaxing rewarding new passion. I even surprised myself with some of my finished projects. What I loved best besides Anne amazing and funny personality of inspiring instruction - was the ability to stop the video - practice - move forward - or even rewind the video to get a better look at the technique. I could go back and revisit past techniques that I may not have mastered because I was so excited to move to the new flower or project of instruction. Honestly I can’t express how much I love this form of learning. It’s like learning to paint with your friend. 👯‍♀️ Thank you Anne for sharing your passion and gift

Anne is a great teacher who truly teaches you each step to create alcohol ink flowers. Her courses aren’t just watching her create. Before each course, she shows you how to create the petals so you can practice before diving into creating the various flowers. Her English is impeccable—you’d never know it wasn’t her native language. Not only is Anne a extremely talented artist, but she is also a very good teacher. The compassion she put in her floral courses is unmatched. With lots of love to details she manages to advise you perfectly so you will achieve a beautiful outcome. And with time, practice and patience you will manage to create beautiful artworks of which you can and will be proud. As well as Anne is, as she never fails to celebrate her students achievements. What I would also like to point out furthermore is the (seemingly) endless creativity with which Anne comes up again and again! It is amazing and so much fun to be able to learn from her! If you decide to participate in one of her classes, you will not regret it! At least I never have! :)

I am allready used to do some very abstract colorful works with alcohol inks, but wanted to improve myself. Creating flowers on the one hand and (which to me was the main reason for joining) learning more about composition and how to do motives on backgrounds with alcohol inks.. In this courses I have both, plus feedback to my work. What else should I need? Anne’s tutorials are so detailed, well explained and help me very much, not only for the alcohol inks, but also for other techniques I am working with. Her way of explaining is very, very encouraging, so is her critics on my work. I so so so much can recommend this artclub and even, if I am a bit behind at the moment (lack of time) it is good to know, that I could work in my „speed“ as I have the possibility to watch and practice, when I have time and passion to do. So, all in all a clear thumbs up for the alcoholinkartclub.

I am really enjoying the classes that Anne Roos is teaching ! She is so generous with her time and all her explanations. She gives us more than one way to create the flowers of the month. She gives us lots of information and instructions and assignments to keep us practicing all through the month. But it’s as much or as little as we choose. We can still learn a lot from her classes without hours and hours of investment. She makes sure we have success and can create beautiful flowers in each class. She has a great personality to lead her students forward in skills and challenges! I’m glad I’m a member and I will also purchase her roses workshop some day soon!!

About me

Alcohol Ink Artist Anne Roos Smink

Hi there! I am Anne Roos, an alcohol ink artist living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. My own alcohol ink art journey began back in 2018, and I have been addicted since. I have helped over 2000 creatives from all over the world in improving their alcohol ink art skills. I know how frustrating the process can be in the beginning, so please know: Good things take time! I am here to guide you through this process and give you step-by-step demonstrations and a wealth of advice that will help you improve your techniques and get control over those inks. I get so much positive energy from making my inks flow around on paper and I hope I can bring some of that positive energy to you!

FAQ

Please reach out with additional questions!

  • Do I first need to follow Alcohol Ink Florals Part 1 before joining Part 2?

No, Part 1 and Part 2 can be followed independently and involve different techniques. Even though both courses are beginner friendly, the tutorials from Part 1 may be a bit easier for beginners than Part 2, which may take somewhat more practice. Tip: Get the bundle with both courses at an extra good price ! :)

  • Is this course suitable for beginners?

Yes, all tutorials are suitable for beginners. All flowers are explained in a step-by-step approach to help you create a finished artwork at the end of the tutorial. Of course, working with inks may come more naturally to people who have been working with alcohol inks for a longer time, but by following the tutorials and practicing, you will learn to improve your control over the inks and make progress over time. However, this course is NOT an introduction into alcohol ink art. If you are completely new and want to know the ins and outs about alcohol ink art, I advise to follow my ‘Introduction into Alcohol Ink Art’ course, in which I will teach you everything you need to know to get started.

  • Which tools do I need?

A complete tool list (including coupon codes) will be provided within the course. The basic tools needed for the basic floral tutorials are: alcohol inks, isopropyl 91%/99%, a needle bottle or pipettes, an ink/air blower, synthetic paper, paper towel and a brush. A heat tool is optional and is only used to speed up the drying process. For some of the creative challenges, we may use additional tools (e.g., black surface, acrylic inks, gold leaf), but I recommend starting with the basic tutorials and purchasing any additional materials whenever you want to get started with one of these creative challenges.

  • What if I want to pay in USD or other valuta?

The payment will be automatically made in your own currency, also when you see the amount in euro. If you want to know an estimate of the price in your own currency you can easily google this (tip: google "125 eur in USD" or your own currency). For some countries, local taxes may be applied (tip: pay with Paypal).

  • What happens after I join?

If you purchase during pre-enrollment, you will get access to all tutorials on June 8th. If you purchase after June 8th, you will right away get access to all tutorials.

  • How is the course content thaught?

The course is a self-paced, online course with pre-recorded video lessons. This means you can go at your own pace, pause the videos and watch the videos whenever and how many times you like. The course language is English, at this moment no subtitles are available.

  • How long will I have access to this course?

This course comes with Lifetime Access, so you can watch the tutorials whenever and how many times you like for a lifetime!

  • Can I get feedback on my work and/or ask questions?

Yes! For each lesson, there's a discussion board where you can post questions and see other people's questions. You can also upload pictures and ask for (constructive) feedback.

  • Can I access this course from anywhere?

Yes, this course can be accessed anywhere in the world as long as you have a WiFi connection and access to alcohol inks. In fact, I can proudly say that my students come from all over the world! The course language is English.
